Living history program slated
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - A snapshot of life in the 19th century will be presented during a living history event Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Klamath County Museum.
Harvest party, total success
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The first annual Pumpkin Festival was held last weekend at the Klamath County Fairgrounds. The event provided eleven bounce houses, thirteen free activities for the kids, and a few hundred pumpkins available for purchase at a low cost.

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Oregon Tourism Commission, dba Travel Oregon, is reminding travelers that several regions in the state will provide excellent viewing opportunities for a spectacular celestial event this fall: the upcoming annular solar eclipse on Saturday, October 14, 2023. The moon, at its furthest point from Earth, will appear smaller as it passes in front of the sun, creating a brilliant “ring of fire” effect. Visitors are encouraged to book their accommodations and other arrangements early — as hotels and campsite reservations are anticipated to sell out quickly — and to anticipate traffic impacts in the path of annularity.

Fort museum to open for graves access
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The Fort Klamath Museum will be open Saturday, Sept. 30, and Tuesday, Oct. 3, to provide access to anyone wishing to visit the graves of Modoc Indian leaders who were executed at the fort in 1873.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - For the 11th rendition of the Klamath Independent Film Festival, Oregon’s lone film fest that exclusively showcases Made-in-Oregon shorts and feature-length films, over 50 selected films will be presented in-person and online Sept. 22-24.
Art Show and Sale opening September 16
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The annual exhibition highlights original, contemporary, representational art by over 30 artists from throughout the West. The show includes oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, and bronze & wood sculpture. The exhibition features landscape, plein-air, western, figure, still life, wildlife, historical art, and more in a variety of artistic styles.
Astronomy events slated by Museum
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - An astronomy event offered by the Klamath County Museum on Sunday, Sept. 17, will serve as a warm-up activity for next month’s annular eclipse that will be visible across Klamath County.

Ride the Rim returns for 2023
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Crater Lake National Park, in partnership with Friends of Crater Lake and Discover Klamath, will host the annual Ride the Rim days on September 9 and September 16, 2023. On these consecutive Saturdays, East Rim Drive from North Junction to Park Headquarters will be closed to motorized vehicles from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM to allow for non-motorized recreation, including biking, hiking, and running.
Baldwin Museum closing for season

Collier Park celebrates logging history
CHILOQUIN, Ore. - Upon entry into the Collier Logging Museum, the rustic sounds and classic smells of old diesel engines filled the air as the annual log truck show had taken over the park. Visitors were greeted with a beautiful row of historic logging trucks just inside the gate. Walking deeper into the park, the atmosphere transitioned from the rumble of diesel to the pleasant melodies of live music and the nostalgic smell of breakfast.
