Activity Guidelines

Activities listed on our calendar are expected to reflect the mission of Basin Beats. To help align with the thousands of events out there, below are a few guidelines as to what qualifies.

Activity preferences for Basin Beat include but are not limited to:

• Art:

  • Visual arts: painting, photography, sculpture, art displays, gallery showings, etc.

• Entertainment:

  • Performance arts: live music, theater, drama, opera, comedy, cinema, film, etc.

• Events:

  • Community:
    Parades, showcases, expositions, competitions (non-sporting), festivals, farmers’ markets, fairs, etc.

  • Historical:
    Museum features, showings, displays, exhibits, showcases, classes, etc.

  • Non-League sporting events:
    Automotive shows, monster truck shows, air shows, exhibitions, etc.

Activities that are not accepted for submission include but are not limited to:

• Religious and/or church events

• Demonstrations and/or protests

• Personal Milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions)

• Politics: campaign stops, meet and greet, agenda, party meetings, etc.

• Commercial sales events, open houses, and similar activities.

• League sporting events and activities (see KlamathSports.net for those)

• Fundraisers and/or actions: car washes, can drive, pop can drive, etc.
