Showcase Series seeks performers

The following is a press release from the Klamath Folk Festival.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - After a successful Klamath Folk Festival just a couple of weeks ago, the Klamath Folk Alliance is pleased to announce the return of its Showcase Series on the first and third Thursdays of the month between November and April.

The twice-monthly live jam session is held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Mia and Pia's Pizzeria and Brewhouse.

Any interested performers are encouraged to apply. Folk and a variety of acoustic artists are welcome to apply. Interest and applications have been coming in quickly. So, please act fast.

How to apply:

  1. Send an email to klamathfolkfestival@gmail.com containing a bio and links to your performances or online recordings. Please do not send audio files as attachments.

  2. Priority is given to newcomers, lesser-knowns, and artists who did not perform at last year’s Showcase. 2022 Klamath Folk Festival acts may apply who did not perform in last year’s Showcase.

  3. Showcase events take place 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of November through April. Except for a few days, two one-hour acts per night will be selected.

  4. Sound system and engineer provided.

The Klamath Folk Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building bridges in the community, fostering its artistic growth, and enhancing educational opportunities through efforts to highlight and support the breadth of folk music, its influence into other genres, and the diversity of its performers across cultures and backgrounds.
