KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - At 1100 sharp, two F-15’s from the 173rd Fighter Wing flew over Veterans Memorial Park in Klamath Falls on Monday. The flyover signaled the start of the 2023 Memorial Day ceremonies honoring military men and women who have sacrificed everything for our country.

Local military groups honored the fallen by presenting wreaths, remembering POWs, singing the National Anthem & Good Bless America, and taking a moment in prayer. The ceremony was closed with a four-gun salute and the playing of taps.

An hour earlier a parade organized by the Klamath Freedom Celebration thundered down Main Street.

In addition to the parade and ceremony downtown, Klamath Memorial Park paid tribute by showcasing the Avenue of Flags throughout the cemetery.

KFN/BB Publisher, Brian Gailey proudly attended these events and locations. Below is his photo story of Memorial Day 2023.
