KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Get out your poodle skirts and slick your hair, because the Kruise of Klamath returns with its classic rumble in downtown Klamath Falls this weekend. Thursday through Sunday several public events are available to excite your hopped-up need for chrome, horsepower, and loud pipes.

The event kicked off Thursday with registration and a public meet and greet at the Growler Guys on US97 south of town.

Four mini-shows highlight the schedule on Friday. Beginning at 8:00 AM and restricted to rides vintage from 1979 and older, these mini-shows are just a couple of hours long. Locations include Waffle Hut, Winema Electric, Aftershock, and Mia & Pia’s.

Friday night with a cool breeze coming off the lake, the Kruise Kickoff Party arrives at Moore Park. A new location for the party this year, the lake views and tunes by DJ Strohmeyer should be epic. This is a public event with Kruise cars parked on the grass. A picnic dinner will also be available.

Saturday, downtown Klamath Falls is home to all the hot automotive action with the Show ‘n Shine starting at 9:00 AM, the awards ceremony at 3:00 PM, and the closed circuit kruise down Main & Klamath beginning at 6:00 PM.

According to kruiseofklamath.org, “See all the classic cars in action and relive your youth with an evening of cruising the downtown strip just like the old days.”

Events continue Sunday with breakfast at Starv’n Marv’n at 7:00 AM. Breakfast is followed by a Poker Run at 10:00 AM. The Poker Run will take participants on an auto tour through Klamath Falls before wrapping up around noon with cash prizes for the top hands.

In addition to the Kruise, there are many other events happening in the basin – farmers market, spaghetti feed benefit, vintage movie night, veteran suicide prevention run, a bit of this & bit of that, Skyline Brewing's 5th anniversary, Beer Fest, and Live music by Terry Robb, Ravyn Sanford, and Cool Disposition.
