KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Evening tours of the Linkville Cemetery will be offered by the Klamath County Museum and Klamath County Historical Society on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 15-16.

Cost for the walking tours is $6 per person, and reservations must be made in advance online at klamathmuseum.org. Tours will be offered at various times from late afternoon to evening, and space is limited. For more information or assistance in reserving tour spots, contact the museum at (541) 882-1000.

“These tours will be an abridged version of our Night at the Cemetery program, which is already sold out,” said Klamath County Museum Director Todd Kepple.

“Rather than simply turn people away from the sold-out program, we decided to offer what is basically a ‘director’s notes’ version of the same information about people buried at Linkville,” Kepple said. “We won’t have actors playing the parts, but the same information will be provided.”

The list of historic figures to be featured include an early-day clothier, a poor farm superintendent, a lumber mill worker, a Civil War veteran, a 6-year-old girl, and a 10-year-old boy who drowned in the A Canal.
